Uniform Matchup: Browns will be back in their orange pants vs. Texans

The lucky orange pants are back

It’s almost here as the Cleveland Browns face off with the Houston Texans on Saturday in the NFL Wild Card round. It’s the second time in four years under Kevin Stefanski that the Browns are in the playoffs as the culture begins to change in Cleveland.

For the second time Cleveland heads to Houston to take on the Texans but this time the home team will have talented young quarterback CJ Stroud. That offense is different with their guy back under center but the young Stroud hasn’t seen a pass rush quite like Cleveland’s.

Like the first matchup, the Browns will sport their white jerseys and the lucky orange pants. The Texans will also wear the same as last time with the blue jerseys and white pants. The playoffs are finally back for the Browns as they are betting favorites to win Saturday’s matchup in Houston. With the lucky orange pants back in business this week’s uniform matchup is a Browns win.

Uniform Matchup: Brown pants for the Browns in the regular season finale vs. Bengals

The Browns will be in their brown pants to end the regular season

The 2023 NFL regular season is about to come to a close this weekend, though your Cleveland Browns will have at least one more playoff game next week. But for now, they are set to face their in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals on the road with a chance to finish the year with 12 regular season wins.

Cleveland will be sitting a good amount of their key contributors to try and get this banged-up roster healthier for a playoff run on the road next week. The Browns will wear their traditional white jerseys and pair that with their brown pants to wrap up the year.

The home team Bengals will wear their black jerseys to go with their white pants and traditional orange helmets with black stripes. The Bengals will want this game to snag another winning season under Zac Taylor and avoid an 0-6 divisional record. Overall I’m not a big fan of the brown pants and this week’s uniform matchup will go to the hometown Bengals.

Uniform Matchup: Browns will be in the all whites for primetime football vs. Jets

The alternate all white uniforms return to prime time

It’s the second primetime game for the Cleveland Browns, and just like the last time, they will be in their all-white alternate uniforms on Thursday night as they take on the New York Jets. That will include the white uniform with an orange stripe down the middle with black stripes outside of that.

The team has asked fans to take it one step further calling for everyone in attendance to wear white for a whiteout against the Jets. Thursday’s game has the chance to be special for fans as they can reach the postseason for the second time in the past four years.

The visiting Jets will wear their all-green uniforms to combat the Browns all whites which should provide an interesting contrast color-wise. The Jets can’t be taken too lightly as they still fight hard and had a few interesting victories. But I can’t go against the alternate white helmets so again this week I will give Cleveland the win in the uniform matchup.

Uniform Matchup: The Browns keep the orange pants on vs. Texans

Orange pants on the road in Houston

Looking for their tenth win of the season the Cleveland Browns are on the road in Houston to take on the Texans without rookie sensation C.J. Stroud. The talented quarterback remains in concussion protocol and their other first-round pick Will Anderson Jr. won’t play either. Quarterback Joe Flacco and the passing offense have finally woken up with nearly 1,000 yards through the air in the last three games.

As the Browns go across the country they will wear their white jerseys with the orange pants in Texas. The team seems to have success when wearing the orange pants hopefully that will continue on Christmas Eve and the Browns get one step closer to the playoffs.

The home team Texans will be wearing their blue and red jerseys to go along with their white pants. I continue to give the Browns the edge when they wear the orange pants because I believe they look much better than the plain white pants.

Browns set to wear orange pants and brown jerseys vs. Bears

Cleveland will look to get closer to a playoff birth in their orange pants at home against the Bears.

Cleveland has plenty of teams nipping on its heels in the playoff race as the Browns continue their home stand against the scrappy Chicago Bears. Joe Flacco has fans excited that the Browns can make the playoffs and maybe make a little noise when they get in as well.

Next up, they have a matchup with a Bears who are playing much better than they did to start the season. The Browns are banged up but that hasn’t stopped them all season as Kevin Stefanski has his team bought all the way in.

Cleveland has found success this year when they wear their orange pants as they will don them as well as browns jerseys for Sunday’s matchup. The Bears haven’t officially announced what uniform combination they will wear though you believe they will at least be wearing white jerseys. If the Browns continue to take care of business they will make it back to the postseason for the second time under Kevin Stefanski.

Uniform Matchup: The Browns are back in their brown jerseys vs. Jaguars

Browns jerseys again for Cleveland

Kevin Stefanski and the Browns are back in Cleveland this week as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars looking to break a two-game losing streak. The opportunity to control whether they make the playoffs or not is at stake in this game and Cleveland has got to get this win.

The Browns will likely get Denzel Ward back and against a banged-up Jags offense it could make a big difference. Jim Schwartz has got to figure out how to fix this run defense that lately has not been good. They have been a different team at home this year and they need to get back to that this week.

The Browns will be in their brown jerseys and white pants this week and I have not been able to find the Jaguars uniform combination. But more likely than not it will be something including white jerseys based on the Browns combination.

Uniform Matchup: Browns will be back in their brown jerseys vs. Rams

Brown jerseys and white pants in LA

The Cleveland Browns dropped a disappointing game in Denver last week before spending the week in Los Angeles to face the Los Angeles Rams. Cleveland will start their fourth different quarterback as veteran Joe Flacco gets the nod on the road. The Browns have been a different team on the road where they have struggled as opposed to Cleveland where they have been great.

After a week on the West Coast, the Browns will be back in their brown jerseys and their white pants which is a surprise for the road team not to be wearing their white jerseys.

It looks like the home team, the Rams will be wearing their cream-white jerseys to go along with their blue pants. Cleveland has to find a way to slow down the run game which they have struggled to do lately as some of the better play callers have schemed them up this season.

Overall I am not crazy about the color of the Rams jersey so as far as the uniform battle the nod goes to the Browns.

Uniform Matchup: Browns hit the road in their all-white uniforms vs. Broncos

The all white uniforms return for the Browns on Sunday

The Cleveland Browns have hit the road and won’t return to Cleveland until after next week’s game against the Rams, but a game in Denver is first. They are looking to extend their winning streak to four games facing a hot team in the Broncos who have been playing much better as of late.

Cleveland has struggled turning the ball over this season and will go against a Broncos defense that has forced 12 turnovers in their last three games. With rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson getting his first road start he must be smart and careful not to give Denver short fields because of turnovers.

The Browns will be back in their all-white uniforms to face Denver on the road which is one of their cleaner looks. Denver hasn’t seemed to officially announce what uniforms they are wearing for sure, but based on social media posts it looks like they will wear their white pants with orange jerseys.

Uniform Matchup: Browns bring back white facemasks vs. Steelers

The Cleveland Browns were dealt a big blow, losing quarterback Deshaun Watson for the remainder of the season after a big victory on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. But they weren’t the only ones as a few days later the Bengals lost Joe Burrow for the remainder of the season with a wrist injury. They now have a chance to make a statement against the 6-3 Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The AFC is still wide open and the Browns remain in a good spot to make the playoffs if Dorian Thompson-Robinson can be a serviceable starter. That makes this week’s matchup with the Steelers one of the biggest games of the year. Cleveland could use another division win for a playoff push. The defense is absolutely good enough to win games as long as the offense doesn’t turn it over and aid the opponent like the first matchup in Pittsburgh.

For the Browns, they will bring back their white face masks to go with orange pants and brown jerseys. The Steelers haven’t officially announced a uniform but they appear to be wearing white jerseys based on a post on Twitter.

Uniform matchup: Browns head to Baltimore wearing their orange pants

White tops and orange pants for Sunday’s matchup with Baltimore

It’s time for another AFC North matchup as the Cleveland Browns head to Baltimore looking for revenge against the division-leading Ravens. The offensive line is really banged up for Cleveland but they have got to find a way to be productive regardless of who is out there. The Ravens have been playing great football as of late so the Browns have to bring their best from the start.

Cleveland will go with their white jerseys on the orange pants as they look to gain ground in the division and overall playoff race. The team has played some of their best games in recent years while wearing the orange pants so if you are superstitious, you should feel good about Sunday.

The Ravens will be going with one of their more traditional looks as they dawn the purple jerseys with white pants. Purple is actually one of my favorite colors and I really like these jerseys so I give the Ravens the edge in this week’s uniform matchup.
