Brandon Royval vs. Manel Kape preview

Since falling short in his title opportunity against flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 296, Royval (17-7 MMA, 7-3 UFC) rebounded with back-to-back wins over former champion Brandon Moreno, and most recently Tatsuro Taira at UFC Fight Night 244.

Shara Magomedov is slightly favored to remain unbeaten at UFC Fight Night 250

[autotag]Shara Magomedov[/autotag] will look to remain unbeaten when he welcomes [autotag]Michael Page[/autotag] back to middleweight in the UFC Fight Night 250 co-main event.

Shara Magomedov vs. Michael Page preview

Magomedov (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) scored a Knockout of the Year contender when he landed a double backfist on Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 this past October. “Bullet” has finished 12 of his 15 professional wins by knockout.

Page (15-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will return to 185 pounds for the first time since April 2013. After beating Kevin Holland in his octagon debut at UFC 299, MVP was out-grappled in a close decision loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 303 in June.

Shara Magomedov vs. Michael Page odds

According to DraftKings, Magomedov is a slight -148 favorite over Page, who’s listed as a +124 underdog.

Israel Adesanya vs. Nassourdine Imavov: Odds and what to know ahead of UFC Saudi Arabia main event

Israel Adesanya vs. Nassourdine Imavov preview

Former champion Adesanya (24-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) is coming off a title loss to middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305 in August, marking his second consecutive defeat. “The Last Stylebender” will compete in his first non-title fight since February 2019.

Navajo Stirling vs. Tuco Tokkos prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 63

Oddsmakers expect Navajo Stirling to shine in his debut at UFC Tampa, but does Tuco Tokkos have a path to victory?

[autotag]Navajo Stirling[/autotag] and [autotag]Tuco Tokkos[/autotag] meet Saturday in the UFC on ESPN 63 main card opener at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom.

Last event: 3-2
UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Navajo Stirling vs. Tuco Tokkos UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Stirling (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) makes his UFC debut in a main card opening slot. The Dana White’s Contender Series signee won his “job interview” by stopping Phillip Latu in the second round with a vicious left hook. In five pro fights, Stirling has only reached the judges scorecards once. … Tokkos (10-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will aim to secure his first UFC victory while potentially saving his spot on the roster. In his May debut, Tokkos was submitted in the first round by Oumar Sy. Back-to-back first-round wins on the regional scene led to his entrance into the UFC.

Navajo Stirling vs. Tuco Tokkos UFC on ESPN 63 expert pick, prediction

Despite having a slew of surefire action fights at featherweight and lightweight that are stuck on the prelims, the UFC matchmakers can’t help themselves when it comes to the big boys, as Stirling and Tokkos get the vaunted main-card opener spot (and yes, card placement does matter, folks).

To the matchmaker’s credit, this fight should see a decisive finish given how it’s booked.

In fact, I called for this exact booking in my grading the winners column after Stirling’s win on last season of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Stirling impressed me in that fight, so it’s no shock to see the City Kickboxing product favored here. Tokkos may have a slight on-paper edge on the floor, but I don’t think his wrestling is good enough to get past Stirling’s clinch and defensive fundamentals.

The pick is Stirling by second-round knockout.

Navajo Stirling vs. Tuco Tokkos UFC on ESPN 63 odds

The oddsmakers and the public are heavily favoring the undefeated debuting fighter, listing Stirling -720 and Tokkos +520 via FanDuel.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 start time, how to watch

As the main card opener, Stirling and Tokkos are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 10:10 a.m. ET. The fight will stream on ESPN+.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 63

Dangerous bantamweights clash on the main card at UFC Tampa. How can Adrian Yanez end Daniel Marcos’ undefeated run?

[autotag]Daniel Marcos[/autotag] and [autotag]Adrian Yanez[/autotag] meet Saturday on the UFC on ESPN 63 main card at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom.

Last event: 3-2
UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Marcos (16-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) puts his undefeated record on the line against arguably his toughest test to date. This fight will be Marcos’ third walk to the cage in 2024. His first resulted in a no contest against Aori Qileng in February, and the second was a unanimous decision win over John Castañeda. … Yanez (17-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will look to keep his momentum going after returning to the win column in May by stopping Vinicius Salvador in the opening round. The result was a rebound from a rough 2023, where Yanez lost back-to-back fights to end a nine-fight winning streak.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 expert pick, prediction

Filling out the main card is a potential bantamweight banger between Marcos and Yanez.

It’s nice to see a solid 135-pound fight not being buried on the prelims. It’s also nice because this slot, coupled with Yanez’s name, will give Marcos a chance to show his skills to more UFC fans.

That said, if Marcos isn’t able to establish his kicking presence early and often (particularly to the legs), then I suspect that Yanez will make exchanges both competitive and exciting.

This fight could either way, but I’ll side with Yanez’s more eye-catching offense to win the judges over in a tight decision that goes the American’s way.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 odds

The oddsmakers and the public are favoring the Peruvian fighter, listing Marcos -200 and Yanez +160 via FanDuel.

Daniel Marcos vs. Adrian Yanez UFC on ESPN 63 start time, how to watch

Marcos and Yanez are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 10:40 a.m. ET. The fight will stream on ESPN+.

Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 63

Is Dustin Jacoby a passable test for Vitor Petrino, who enters UFC Tampa on the heels of his first career loss?

[autotag]Dustin Jacoby[/autotag] and [autotag]Vitor Petrino[/autotag] meet Saturday on the UFC on ESPN 63 main card at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom.

Last event: 3-2
UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Jacoby (19-9-1 MMA, 7-6-1 UFC) enters this main card matchup in need of a win. Jacoby has gone 1-4 over his last 5 fights. Although his lone win during that stretch was a first-round finish of Kennedy Nzechukwu last August, he was finished in nearly the same amount of time in his last outing by Dominick Reyes in June. … Petrino (11-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) also enters on the heels of a loss in the first round. Anthony Smith stopped him with a guillotine at UFC 301, handing the Brazilian his first professional loss.

Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino UFC on ESPN 63 expert pick, prediction

Filling out the main card is another light heavyweight offering in the form of Jacoby vs. Petrino.

There’s no denying that Jacoby has been on a rough skid, but I believe that a bevy of those losses come from a specific stylistic look a southpaw counterstrikers.

Not only does Petrino not fit that bill of fight, but I’m not even sure if Petrino knows what bill of fighter he fits at this point of his career.

Aside from making incredibly raw mistakes that cost him a submission lost to Anthony Smith last time out, Petrino’s game, in general, still feels a bit disjointed for as athletic and capable as he looks.

So long as Jacoby can use the larger octagon to his advantage and stay standing, then I suspect that the American the survive the early storms and pull away down the stretch.

The pick is Jacoby by unanimous decision.

Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino UFC on ESPN 63 odds

The oddsmakers and the public are heavily favoring the Brazilian fighter, listing Petrino -310 and Jacoby +240 via FanDuel.

Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino UFC on ESPN 63 start time, how to watch

Jacoby and Petrino are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 11:10 a.m. ET. The fight will stream on ESPN+.

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 63

Will Manel Kape’s title hopes get derailed by Bruno Silva in this significant flyweight bout at UFC Tampa?

[autotag]Manel Kape[/autotag] and [autotag]Bruno Silva[/autotag] meet Saturday on the UFC on ESPN 63 main card at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom.

Last event: 3-2
UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Kape (19-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC) will look to rebound from a July loss to Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 304. Although Kape doesn’t acknowledge the result as a loss, he officially had a four-fight winning streak come to an end. His last win in the run was a Fight of the Night unanimous decision over Felipe dos Santos at UFC 293. … Silva (14-5-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) is in the position Kape was before July, as he enters on a four-fight winning streak. It’s an impressive streak with all stoppage results: JP Buys, Victor Rodriguez, Tyson Nam and Cody Durden were all stopped by the second round or earlier.

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 expert pick, prediction

Filling out the main card in Tampa is a meaningful flyweight affair between Kape and Silva.

Whether it be frustrating fights or frustrating trips to the scale, Kape’s UFC career has not gone the way anticipated, thus far. Silva, on the other hand, has been able to rebound wonderfully from a rough start to his UFC career, currently riding a four-fight finishing streak.

However, despite divisional stakes giving us all the more reason to get excited about this fight, I fear that, stylistically, we could be in for a bit of a staring contest due to both men’s propensity to counter.

For that reason, I find it difficult to be confident in forecasting an outcome.

I’ll semi-reluctantly side with Kape to narrowly edge out the judge’s scorecards with his more eye-catching offense.

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 odds

The oddsmakers and the public are favoring the younger fighter, listing Kape -355 and Silva +270 via FanDuel.

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 start time, how to watch

Kape and Silva are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 11:40 a.m. ET. The fight will stream on ESPN+.

Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo prediction, pick, start time for UFC on ESPN 63

Is this featherweight meeting at UFC Tampa a crossroads fight for the careers of Cub Swanson and Billy Quarantillo?

[autotag]Cub Swanson[/autotag] and [autotag]Billy Quarantillo[/autotag] meet Saturday in the UFC on ESPN 63 co-main event at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. Check out this quick breakdown of the matchup from MMA Junkie analyst Dan Tom.

Last event: 3-2
UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Swanson (29-14 MMA, 14-10 UFC) enters his second fight of the calendar year following a split decision loss to Andre Fili at UFC 303 in June. The UFC Hall of Famer has traded wins and losses over his past 6 fights as he struggles to maintain momentum. Swanson, 41, has not lost back-to-back fights since a four-fight skid which stretched from 2017-19. His last victory was a unanimous decision over Hakeem Dawodu last August. … Quarantillo (18-6 MMA, 6-4 UFC), much like his opponent, has experienced mixed results over his last eight fights. His last outing was a submission loss vs. Youssef Zalal in March. Quarantillo, 36, has never lost back-to-back fights. His last win was a unanimous decision over Damon Jackson last August.

Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo UFC on ESPN 63 expert pick, prediction

The co-main event features potential fireworks at featherweight between Swanson and Quarantillo.

Despite this having all the feels of a crossroads fight at first glance, this fight should be competitive from start to finish.

Don’t let Swanson’s age fool you: The WEC vet still carries crafty striking swagger and that can build into third rounds.

Quarantillo is also a fighter who builds into fights, so each competitor’s cardio edges could be nullified in this contest.

Swanson’s counters will keep him super live from the start, but Quarantillo’s grappling pressure could prove to be the difference.

It’s not a confident pick, but I’ll side with Quarantillo to take a tight split decision from the judges.

Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo UFC on ESPN 63 odds

The oddsmakers and public are favoring the younger fighter, listing Quarantillo -162 and Swanson +132 via FanDuel.

Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo UFC on ESPN 63 start time, how to watch

As the co-main event, Swanson and Quarantillo are expected to walk to the cage at approximately 12:10 a.m. ET. The fight will stream on ESPN+.

Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez: Odds and what to know ahead of UFC 312 co-main event

Oddsmakers are favoring Zhang Weili to defend gold and hand Tatiana Suarez her first loss at UFC 312.

[autotag]Zhang Weili[/autotag] will look to hand [autotag]Tatiana Suarez[/autotag] her first loss in the UFC 312 co-main event.

Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez preview

Since dominating Carla Esparza to recapture the strawweight title at UFC 281 in November 2022, Weili has defended her title two times with unanimous decision wins over Amanda Lemos and Yan Xiaonan.

Suarez will earn her first-career title shot after going unbeaten in the octagon – including wins over former champions Esparza, Alexa Grasso, and Jessica Andrade. She was scheduled to face Virna Jandiroba at UFC 310, but the bout was scrapped due to undisclosed reasons.

Zhang Weili vs. Tatiana Suarez odds

Despite Suarez’s dominance in the octagon, oddsmakers are favoring Weili to retain her title. According to FanDuel, Weili is a moderate -225 favorite over standout wrestler Suarez, who’s a +172 underdog.
