Former Tennessee pitcher Ben Joyce made his fourth professional appearance Saturday with the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Joyce (1-0) pitched one inning, recording two strikeouts, one walk and zero runs against Chattanooga. Rocket City defeated the Lookouts, 8-7, and Joyce earned the win.

Joyce was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the third round (No. 89 overall) of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

The Trash Pandas compete in the Southern League and are a Double-A affiliate of the Angels.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Joyce appeared in 27 games and started one contest in 2022 for the Vols.

Joyce had a 2-1 record, while totaling 53 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched during the 2022 campaign.

Tennessee won the Southeastern Conference East division for the second consecutive season, the league regular season and tournament championships in 2022.

St. Lucie competes in the Florida State League and is a Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets.

Tidwell was selected by New York in the second round (No. 52 overall) of the 2022 MLB draft.

The former Vol made his professional debut Aug. 9 with the FCL Mets of the Florida Complex League.

Tidwell made his first start Aug. 16 with FCL Mets. He pitched 1.2 innings, recording one walk and hit two batters, while not surrendering a run against Lakeland.

The 6-foot-4, 207-pound Tidwell (3-2) appeared in 13 games for the Vols in 2022. He recorded 51 strikeouts and a 3.00 ERA during the 2022 campaign.
