Russell Wilson is out of the NFC West after agreed trade to Broncos

The NFC West will look vastly different without Wilson leading the Seahawks this season.

The NFC West just changed significantly. In big, breaking news, the Seattle Seahawks agreed to trade quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

According to the report, Seahawks will get multiple first-round picks, other picks and players.

Wilson has been a Pro Bowler in all 10 of his NFL seasons and led the Seahawks to eight playoff appearances. He led them to the Super Bowl twice and one championship. The only years the Seahawks missed the postseason were his rookie season and this past season.

Wilson missed three games last season but threw for 3,113 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes and only six interceptions.

This offseason keeps getting more interesting. Now we must wait and see what Seattle does at the quarterback position for this coming season.

NFC Championship Game is all-NFC West, making Cardinals’ playoff exit more painful

Cardinals fans will not enjoy seeing either division rival make it to the Super Bowl.

The NFC West has arguably been the best division in football for the past few years. There is more evidence to that.

Three teams from the division made the postseason, as the Los Angeles Rams won the division and both the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers made the postseason as wild-card teams.

Now the NFC Championship Game is an all-NFC West affair.

The 49ers knocked off the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field 13-10 on a last-second field goal, while the Rams dominated early against the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, building a 27-3 lead, only to lose the lead and then getting a game-winning field goal as time expired to win 30-27.

The tough thing to watch for Cardinals fans is the fact that their team went a combined 3-1 against both teams in the regular season. And with the win by the Niners, had the Cardinals been able to beat the Rams and then the Bucs, they would have been hosting the NFC title game against the 49ers. The Cardinals have not lost a postseason game at State Farm Stadium.

With two division rivals playing this coming weekend, it will be hard for Cardinals fans to decide on a team to prefer. No matter what happens, one of their division rivals will be going to a Super Bowl that was believed to be possible for the Cardinals.

NFC West division title will come down to Week 18 Sunday afternoon

The NFC West will come down to the Cardinals or the Rams and will depend on their respective games in Week 18.

The NFC West is still up for grabs entering the final week of the season. The Los Angeles Rams hold a one-game lead over the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams are 12-4 and the Cardinals are 11-5 but either team can win the division and host a playoff game in the wild card round of the postseason.

The Rams will clinch the division with a win in Week 18 over the San Francisco 49ers at home. The 49ers have won the last five matchups between the two teams.

The 49ers are hungry as well. They need a win in Week 18 to clinch a playoff berth.

The Cardinals, who led the NFC West pretty much the entire season until Week 16, can earn the division title if they beat the Seattle Seahawks at home in Week 18 and the 49ers beat the Rams.

That result would make both teams 12-5 but the Cardinals would own a divisional tiebreaker, having gone 5-1 in the division.

Both teams kick off at the same time at 4:25 p.m. ET in Week 18.

So Cardinals fans happen to be 49ers fans for a week as they hope Arizona can rally in the final week and reclaim the division lead they had almost all year.
