After the non-conference schedule was finalized earlier this month, the Gators have finally learned their SEC opponents for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season, as well. In addition to games against permanent rivals Georgia, Kentucky and Vanderbilt, Florida will also play Auburn and Ole Miss twice.
UF hasn’t played a home-and-home against the Tigers since 2014, when it swept both contests. The Gators drew two games against the Rebels more recently in 2020, splitting those matchups.
As far as the one-time opponents go, Florida will face Alabama, Arkansas, LSU and Mississippi State at home, while it will travel to face Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M. This will be the third-straight matchup against LSU in Gainesville after last season’s game in Baton Rouge was canceled due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Gators travel to Knoxville to face the Volunteers for the fifth-straight season due to quirks in the SEC scheduling rotation.
After a largely disappointing 2020-21 season that saw Florida go just 9-7 in the SEC and finish the regular season ranked fifth in the conference, the team has reloaded largely using the transfer portal following the departure of seven scholarship players. Coach Mike White will once again face high expectations in his seventh season.
