Michigan State basketball continued to roll on Thursday night in a blowout win over Washington.

Michigan State dominated Washington for an 88-54 victory at the Breslin Center. The Spartans were clearly the better team all night, and remained perfect in Big Ten play on the year with the win.

Michigan State fell behind 1-0 to start the game, but from that point on it was all Spartans. Michigan State used a defensive dominant performance in the first half to build a nearly 30-point lead, and from there they coasted to the win.

Michigan State is now 13-2 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play. Michigan State will return to the court on Sunday in a road game at Northwestern. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX.

Photos from Alabama’s SEC road win at South Carolina

Alabama cruised to a victory Wednesday night at South Carolina.

On Wednesday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide traveled for the first time in SEC conference play this season, traveling to Columbia for a showdown with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

In this contest, Alabama simply controlled the game from the start, and went on to cruise to what ended up being their 10th consecutive victory over South  Carolina in as many meetings, 88-68.

Leading the Crimson Tide was a strong performance from guard Mark Sears, who finished with a game-high 22 points on four-of-six shooting from three-point range. Alabama also had two others score in double figures with Aden Holloway and Clifford Omoruyi, and as a team, shot 8-of-19 (42.1%) from three.

Here is a look at some photos from Alabama’s road victory at South Carolina on Wednesday night.

All the players who have led the NBA All-Star fan vote

In 2024, LeBron James played in his 20th All-Star Game, setting a record, just one year after becoming the player with the most fan vote leads, surpassing Michael Jordan.

Aside from LeBron and MJ, only 16 other players have been No. 1 in the All-Star fan vote since it began in 1975. (Prior to that, the starting players were selected by NBA coaches.)

PHOTOS: Tar Heels win most decisive game of the season vs SMU

The Tar Heels came home and took care of business in the most dominant they have looked all season!

UNC basketball has struggled all season to put together a full game, much less multiple games in a row. They have been known this season for giving up big leads and forcing themselves to come back in the second half.

Not against SMU, from the first whistle to the last, the Tar Heels took care of business against one of the ACC’s newest teams to the conference. After getting handled by No. 4 Duke last weekend, SMU went into the Dean Smith Center and got a taste of what pure North Carolina basketball was like.

The Tar Heels quickly jumped out to a lead and kept that lead for the majority of the first half due largely to the thunderous play of freshman Drake Powell. They let off the gas a little in the second half, accounting for much of their turnovers and lazy basketball after the game was already decided.

Three players finished in double figures, including the team’s leading scorer RJ Davis who had one of his most efficient nights shooting this season. He had 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting and 3-for-6 from the three.

Ian Jackson had 18 points and seven rebounds while Powell made a statement for himself with 17 points on 4-of-6 from downtown.

In photos: Auburn moves to 2-0 after knocking off Texas in Austin

The upset-minded Longhorns were disappointed Tuesday as the No. 2 Tigers stole a win in Austin.

The home team has been a source of dominance through the first two games of SEC play.

“Home teams” went 7-1 during the opening day of SEC play last Saturday. The trend continued Tuesday as Georgia, Florida, and Missouri earned key wins in front of their home crowd.

The Texas Longhorns, however, were not so lucky.

The visiting Auburn Tigers led by as many as 21 points in the second half of their game with Texas on Tuesday before the Longhorns stormed back to cut their lead to three points with 0:33 remaining in the game. A few key free throws were enough for Auburn to hold off the upset-minded Longhorns for an 87-82 win at Moody Center in Austin.

Five players reached double-digit point totals, led by Johni Broome’s 20-point effort. Miles Kelly returned to the starting lineup to post 18 points in the win.

The key storyline of the game was Bruce Pearl’s 241st win as the head coach of the Auburn Tigers, which makes him the program’s winningest head coach.

Check out the best Duke basketball photos from Tuesday’s win over the Pittsburgh Panthers.

The Duke Blue Devils overcame some early foul trouble for freshman superstar [autotag]Cooper Flagg[/autotag] on Tuesday night, still getting 19 points from the 18-year-old forward in a 76-47 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Flagg needed to sit out six minutes of the opening half after a pair of whistles, but he brought down the roof in Durham with a one-handed dunk over Pittsburgh center Guillermo Diaz Graham after the break. Add in a trio of 3-pointers from classmate [autotag]Kon Knueppel[/autotag] in the first half, part of a 17-point night for him, and the Blue Devils looked dominant once again.

Duke has now won each of its last nine games, including six in a row by at least 20 points, to surge out to a 13-2 record.
