Deion Sanders seeking help finding a home in Jackson, MS

Deion Sanders took to social media seeking help in finding a home in Jackson, Mississippi.

The hard work hasn’t started on the field for Deion Sanders at Jackson State. The Pro Football Hall of Fame DB has another problem, though.

He needs a place to call home and Prime Time has some specific requests.

We’re sure there are plenty of people — realtors?? — who will be more than happy to help Sanders get settled in accommodations to his liking.

Right?

Oregon’s Penei Sewell opts-out of 2020 season

Oregon’s Penei Sewell is a top prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft. He has opted-out of the 2020 college football season.

Penei Sewell is regarded as the second-best player in the 2021 NFL Draft class. The Oregon offensive tackle, who is behind Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, won’t be playing college football in 2020 or early ’21. He announced Monday his decision to opt-out and prepare for next year’s draft.

The 6-foot-6, 330-pounder did not allow a sack last season and allowed just seven quarterback pressures in 466 pass-blocking snaps en route to becoming the third unanimous All-American in Oregon program history.

The unanimous choice for All-American posted this parting message to the Ducks’ faithful:

“There are no words to adequately express how blessed I feel for having played football for the past two seasons at the best school in the country, the University of Oregon,” Sewell wrote in a thank you letter via Twitter. “The love and support I received has been overwhelming, and I could not be more grateful. But ever since I was little, I have dreamt of playing professional football. Accordingly, after long thought, prayer and many conversations with my family, I have decided to opt out of the 2020-21 college football season and prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft.”

The Pac-12 postponed all sports until at least Jan. 1, 2021 on Aug. 11, citing the prevalence of COVID-19 in its communities, concerns about myocarditis, and lack of point-of-care rapid testing.

Watch: Kirk Herbstreit delivers emotional social justice speech

The passionate college football analyst became choked up and shed some tears as he spoke to his colleagues: “We have to do better.”

On the first “College GameDay” of the season, ESPN analyst Kurt Herbstreit used the platform to powerfully address the issues of social injustice and racism in America — and became choked up and shed some tears in the process as he spoke to his colleagues.

Herbstreit showed his passion and emotions when discussing how the Black community continues to face unjustified scrutiny which can lead to dangerous, sometimes deadly situations.

“The black community is hurting. How do you listen to these stories and not feel pain and not want to help? Wearing a hoodie and putting your hands at 10-2. Oh god, I better look out because I’m wearing Nike gear. What are we talking about? You can’t relate to that if you’re white but you can listen. You can try to help because this is not okay. It’s just not. We gotta do better man. We gotta lock arm and arm and be together. In a football locker room, that’s gone. We gotta do better.”
