Juan Thornhill continues recruiting former teammates to Cleveland

Could the team target McKinnon to replace Hunt?

New safety Juan Thornhill seems to already be embracing Cleveland as he has taken to social media to celebrate the move to the city. He has now begun trying to get his former teammate in Kansas City running back Jerick McKinnon to join him as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns could use depth at running back as there are no proven players behind Nick Chubb on the depth chart. McKinnon isn’t a superstar but provides a fantastic change-of-pace player for a team as a dual-threat receiver out of the backfield.

McKinnon had 55 catches last season and is a dynamic player who can make people miss in the open field to produce explosive plays. He is getting older but still has the breakaway speed to provide some excitement off the bench.

Greg Newsome II and teammates respond to trade rumors on social media

Newsome isn’t going anywhere

Shortly after the news broke that Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II had a new agent, rumors surfaced that he wanted to be traded from the team.

Shortly after that Newsome II, his teammates, and other teammates took to social media to say the rumor was false. Newsome had just announced his charity softball game in the area yesterday and said it proves he wants to be in Cleveland. Newsome was unhappy with his role last year as the nickel corner and it was no secrete he felt this way. In the end, I don’t see why the team would trade Newsome.

New safety Juan Thornhill announces new jersey number

Juan Thornhill announces his new number

The Cleveland Browns spent $7 million per year to bring in a new safety in Juan Thornhill. The John Johnson III experience was nothing but rocky, so the Browns get new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz a true free safety to patrol over the top of his defense. And now, Thornhill has announced what number he will wear in Cleveland.

Already becoming a fan favorite, Thornhill now gives himself a marketable jersey as he goes with number 1. With the number 0 now allowed, there was thought that Thornhill could grab it. For now, that number is still up for grabs for any Browns player to nab.

Elijah Moore speaks on social media for the first time since trade

The newest wide receiver is excited to be in Cleveland.

As wide receiver Elijah Moore now gets a fresh start after a promising rookie season, followed by a tumultuous second year, he appears quite excited about that opportunity. As the Cleveland Browns struck a deal with the New York Jets for his services, surrendering just about the value of a mid-fourth rounder in the process, Moore has tweeted for the first time since the trade went down.

The Browns have made a concerted effort to get more explosive offensively, adding the more athletic Jordan Akins to siphon snaps from Harrison Bryant, and now adding Moore, the offense is going to spread the football out much more in 11 personnel looks from the shotgun. Look for massive changes to how this offense looks in 2023.

Twitter reacts to the Browns’ trade for WR Elijah Moore

The Elijah Moore trade set social media ablaze

The Cleveland Browns made a big move this afternoon, trading with the New York Jets for disgruntled wide receiver Elijah Moore. The Browns gave up pick 42 in the 2023 NFL Draft for Moore and the 74th overall pick in the draft. Essentially, the Browns moved back 32 spots in the upcoming draft to acquire Moore’s services. And they only owe him less than $2 million per year over the next two seasons.

The Browns now sit with Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and David Bell as the top guys in their wide receiver room with Moore.

How did social media react to this move as the Browns add the receiver by moving back 32 spots in the 2023 NFL Draft? Take a look here!

Anthony Walker Jr. responds after re-signing: ‘Nobody Cares; WORK Harder’

The linebacker takes to Twitter to respond to his new deal

The Cleveland Browns are bringing back veteran linebacker and locker room leader Anthony Walker Jr. on another one-year deal. And after re-upping his deal, Walker Jr. took to Twitter to express both his excitement and his desire to get back to work for the team. Posting “Nobody Cares; WORK Harder,” Walker Jr. is eager to get back to the grindstone with the Browns after suffering a season-ending injury in Week 3 of the 2022 season.

There is not a better leader in the locker room than Walker Jr., and as the Browns now transition under new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, it is a home run to bring him back to guide this young unit through learning curves.

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo takes to Twitter to show excitement to join Browns

It seems the pass rusher is excited to be in Cleveland.

After agreeing to a three-year deal to join the Cleveland Browns pass rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo took to social media. He seems to be happy to end up in Cleveland and likely is excited for the opportunities he will get playing opposite Myles Garrett for the next three years. He immediately dove into Browns’ Twitter to let the Dawg Pound know he is excited to join their ranks.

Seems like a player that fans are going to love to root for as he looks to embrace his new city. The team will now eagerly await seeing their new player hit the field later in the offseason will teams get back on the practice field.
