The second quarter has just started and the Pittsburgh Steelers are already dealing with injuries as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals. In the closing seconds of the first quarter, the team announced that running back Jaylen Warren and wide receiver Miles Boykin are both questionable to return with injuries.

Warren suffered his hamstring injury on the Steelers second drive when he took a pass in the flat and dove for the first down. With Warren out, the workload for Najee Harris goes way up. Boykin suffered an oblique injury, presumably on special teams.

Steelers vs Bengals: 4 keys to victory for Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh must pressure Joe Burrow and find a way to push the football downfield in the passing game.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers want to sweep the season series with the Cincinnati Bengals, they must play a much better game than they did in Week One. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are both different teams two months later and this game is going to look very different. Here are the Steelers keys to victory.

Steelers vs Bengals: 3 Steelers who must step up this week

Which Steelers will play better this time around?

In the Week One matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh pulled off a thrilling 23-20 overtime win thanks to a huge defensive performance. If Pittsburgh wants to pull off the sweep, these three guys need much better games than the first time around.

Steelers vs Bengals: Stat predictions for Pittsburgh’s top players

Let’s make some predictions about the Steelers this week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to find a way to pull out wins when people least expect it and they’ve done it without lighting up the box score in many cases. This week the Steelers welcome the Cincinnati Bengals to town and we have a sneaking feeling the Bengals are going to play better than the first time this season and Pittsburgh will have to answer on both sides of the ball.

Here are our stat predictions for the top Steelers in all three phases.

Steelers S Damontae Kazee fined for hit on Chris Olave

Damontae Kazee plans to appeal his fine for last week’s big hit.

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbydbzmnr1bhxef player_id=none image=https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Domante Kazee made his regular-season debut last week against the New Orleans Saints. Kazee had a strong game but unfortunately, his big hit on Saints receiver Chris Olave early in the game drew a penalty and now according to ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, a fine by the NFL as well. Fowler also indicated Kazee plans to appeal the fine per his agent.

Kazee finished with four tackles and a key interception in the win over the Saints. Kazee joined the Steelers as a free agent in the offseason but had missed the entire season up until last week due to a broken arm. A healthy Kazee gives the Steelers three excellent safeties for the home stretch of the season.

Cast your vote for who wins in Steelers vs Bengals

Who wins this week’s Steelers matchup with the Bengals?

It is time once against for some predictions. This season has not gone according to plan for the Pittsburgh Steelers but every time you think it is time to throw in the towel, the Steelers win a game they shouldn’t and get everyone’s hopes up again.

That’s what happened last week when the return of linebacker T.J. Watt netting a win over the New Orleans Saints. Now the Steelers have to see if they can do it two weeks in a row with the Cincinnati Bengals coming to town.

[crowdsignal poll=11244764]

The first time around, Pittsburgh snuck out of Cincinnati with an upset win over the Bengals thanks to overtime and a huge defensive performance. Everything had to go perfectly for this game to go the Steelers way and it’s hard to imagine the stars aligning again.

Cast your vote and let us know how you think this game goes. I’m looking for the typical physical matchup between these rivals for much of the game. but if the Bengals get a lead does Kenny Pickett and the Steelers offense have enough juice to keep up? It’ll be close but in the second coin-toss matchup between these teams, the Steelers are the team that comes up just short. Bengals 24, Steelers 21

Steelers vs Bengals: 4 bold predictions for this week’s game

The Steelers run game keeps going but the defense comes back to earth this week.

The firts time the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals squared off, the Steelers pulled off a stunning 20-18 overtime upset. Is it in the cards for the Steelers to do it again at home? Let’s make some bold predictions.

Steelers RB Najee Harris says offense will use more Wildcat

Pittsburgh is finding new and some not-so-new ways to manufacture rushing yards.

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbydbzmnr1bhxef player_id=none image=https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

Last week against the New Orleans Saints, the Pittsburgh Steelers dusted off the Wildcat offense for several snaps. On a day when the run game was working, the Wildcat was a nice wrinkle that the Steelers are going to do more of according to running back Najee harris.

“The Wildcat opens up the package options for a lot of stuff,” Harris said. “You can pass, you can do a lot of stuff with it. You can expand it to do a lot of other things, too. So that’s just another way of forcing defenses to gameplan against that.”

It’s really interesting that Harris noted you could pass out of the Wildcat. I honestly thought last week when Harris ran it in the red zone and quarterback Kenny Pickett split out wide, Harris was going to do a throw back. You can bet the Steelers saw on film the defense completely ignored Pickett and might take a shot at getting the football back to him.

Last week the Steelers rushed for 217 yards and four different players had runs of at least 20 yards. Look for Pittsburgh to continue to manufacture ways to run the football and control the clock, including the Wildcat.
