Catching up with the Quarantine Celtics on social media

The Celtics may be self-quarantined, but they are keeping busy on social media, too.

The Boston Celtics are keeping busy while in self-quarantine, and sharing some of their strategies on social media while maintaining social distancing in real life.

Some of it has already caught our eye at the Celtics Wire, like Grant Williams analysis of the Toon Squad’s similarities with his fellow Celtics teammates (and the Monstars with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers), or Jaylen Brown’s and Jayson Tatum’s messages calling for calm and solidarity.

Other Celtics are turning to humor to help us get through these unnerving times, such as French rookie center Vincent Poirier, who has been feigning (we think) pleasure at teammate Enes Kanter’s absence (and to which he Turkish big man responded by calling him a liar).

And Kanter of course can always be counted on to find the levity — or at least an attempt at one — in every situation. Whether what it might take to safely resume the NBA season…

…to the uniquely American habit of hoarding toilet paper in crises that pooping isn’t especially more prevalent…

…to some excellent advice on personal hygiene in these times:

There’s also veteran guard Marcus Smart, who jests the break from league action may be beneficial to his paycheck in at least one way, with a little advice to catch up with family and friends:

Forward Semi Ojeleye has been gaming from home while streaming on Twitch:

And in a similar vein, forward Gordon Hayward can be found helping others (in this case, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic) master the skills needed to stream their gaming.

Though it looks like center Tacko Fall might be getting bored, based on this video of him, uh, cutting a rug while under quarantine:

We don’t mind, Tacko — but should we send some video games or books?

In all seriousness, we here at the Celtics Wire — and everyone everywhere — are in this with you, so let’s find ways to keep each other busy safely and look out for one another — sooner or later (hopefully sooner), things will return to normal.

But until then, we’ll do our best to help you pass the time with no basketball — be well.
