Former Michigan State basketball Guard Cassius Winston is preparing himself for the 2020 NBA Draft. Recently, Winston sat down with Bryan Kalbrosky of HoopsHype to talk about his time at Michigan State and where he fits in the current NBA.
One of the most interesting parts of this interview, in my opinion, is Cassius talking about the canceled 2020 NCAA tournament. Here is what Winston had to say about his team’s potential in the tournament, per the HoopsHype interview:
I think we were a national championship team. I think everything was clicking for us on both ends, figuring out how to play with each other and figuring out what type of team we were going to be. It was all working at the right time. I thought we were going to have a really big run in the tournament and a chance to win the national championship. I loved helping when my guys took pride in being the best. We wanted to be the best, we didn’t want anyone to ever score on us.

2020 NBA Draft prospect @cassiuswinston has a lot of Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet in his game. He is the most proficient off-ball guard in this class, per @Shot_Quality.
