2025 utility player and catcher Cash Williams announced his commitment to Tennessee baseball.
“After a lot of prayers and thought, I have decided to play baseball at the University of Tennessee,” Williams announced. “I want to thank everyone that has been with me since day 1.”
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect is from Choctaw High School in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Williams committed to Tennessee’s program under head coach Tony Vitello. Vitello enters his seventh season as the Vols’ head coach in 2024. He has guided Tennessee to College World Series appearances in 2021 and 2023.
Tennessee will open its upcoming season on Feb. 16, 2024 versus Texas Tech. The contest will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the Texas Rangers.
