The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Carson Wentz because he’s an elite competitor who also has a cannon for a right arm.
The Eagles star has once again been thrust into the spotlight of a quarterback controversy after Philadelphia used their 2020 second-round pick on Jalen Hurts.
Wentz was busy with the birth of his baby daughter and didn’t really have the time to address the decision to add Hurts to the roster. On Monday, days after welcoming his daughter, Wentz addressed the media via a zoom conference call.
When asked about the addition of Hurts, Wentz said he was “excited to add” Hurts to the locker room.
“I know how important the QB position is and how important that dynamic is for me and for the other guys in that room. I’ve been blessed over the years.” …Heard “great things.”
Wentz went on to say that the addition of Hurts will “create a really good, healthy, competitive challenging environment.”
