Carson Beck declares for the 2025 NFL Draft

Carson Beck declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, but figuring out where and when the Georgia QB gets selected is still very up in the air

Carson Beck entered the 2024 college season as one of the leading candidates to emerge as the eventual No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Georgia quarterback sat atop many a preseason mock draft and had the chance to lead the Bulldogs to a national title.

Alas, things didn’t play out the way many expected, including Beck himself. Beck struggled through an inconsistent season with a lesser supporting cast from the prior year, and then the signal caller suffered a season-ending elbow injury that will keep him out of Georgia’s playoff run.

Nevertheless, Beck has declared his entry into the upcoming NFL draft. The 22-year-old is a two-year starter for Georgia.

Given his UCL surgery, it’s unlikely he will be able to throw for NFL teams prior to April’s draft. His draft stock is difficult to ascertain, but the early expectation is that Beck will be the third or fourth quarterback selected, somewhere in the 20-40 overall range. That could prove too optimistic, however.
