Caron Butler: I was playing with the Clippers and the real reason why I went to OKC — or I was going to the San Antonio Spurs — was because I wanted to be in the Western Conference to make sure that the team I left, that we helped build up as contenders, that they didn’t win the championship. That was one of my ulterior motives. I also remember after beating them the energy and how everybody was so excited. We felt like we were pretty much going on a trip to the finals and we were just a couple games away.
