Carmelo Anthony wants his pair of rare sneakers back from PJ Tucker and it’s hilarious

PJ Tucker is truly the NBA’s sneaker king

PJ Tucker is the NBA’s sneaker king. There’s no debating that at this point.

Yes, there are plenty of players who have lots of heat. There are lots of sneakerheads in the NBA. But no one quite has the collection that PJ Tucker has. And no one has any idea about how he gets some of the stuff he has, either.

Carmelo Anthony found that out the hard way on CJ McCollum’s “What’s in your glass?” podcast.

Tucker was a guest on the show and Anthony made a special appearance. Not to just chop it up with PJ because they’re cool, though. Nah. That comes later.

First things first: Melo wanted his shoes back.

“PJ. Give me my damn sneakers back. Give me my sneakers back, bro, what are you doing?”

Absolutely hilarious. Anthony is talking about an extremely rare pair of Jordans that were a custom player exclusive colorway for Anthony made in honor of Puerto Rico Football Club, which was a North American Soccer League franchise.

Tucker’s story about telling Anthony he had them is amazing.

“CJ he looked me in my face and said ‘I’ve got one pair. No. You can’t have them.’ I said ‘Melo, I’ma find them shoes.’ I told him. I said I’ma find these shoes.”

But Anthony said it wasn’t even the fact that he had the shoes. It was how he managed to get them. They’re extremely rare.

Yet here Tucker is with them on. Somehow. Some way.

And that’s why PJ is the sneaker king of the NBA.
