The Brooklyn Nets are preparing for what they hope will be an exciting 2020-21 season as Kevin Durant will finally suit up for them after he missed the entire 2019-20 season. As they head into their preseason opener on Sunday, however, they will be missing a key piece.
Caris LeVert will miss the game with a patella contusion as he continues to recover from that injury. In his place, the team will start DeAndre Jordan at center with Durant sliding over to the power forward spot. The initial thought was that Durant would play the center position considering he plans to play both spots.
The more important part is that the Nets will have both Durant and Kyrie Irving all set to go for Sunday against the Washington Wizards. The team will also start Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris alongside the superstar duo plus Jordan with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EST from Barclays Center. [lawrence-related id=15311,15322,15315]
