Caris LeVert still has a few weeks of work ahead of him before he can suit up for the Brooklyn Nets again, but the shooting guard is making progress.
LeVert received surgery on his right thumb on November 14 to repair damaged ligaments. The surgery was deemed a success and the projected timetable for his return was four to six weeks.
Not even a week after receiving the surgery, LeVert was seen at Nets practice on Tuesday in a split, having previously been in a cast.
According to Malika Andrew of ESPN, LeVert is not able to begin his rehabilitation process.
Nets’ Caris LeVert said he got his cast off of his thumb this morning and is now wearing a small splint. Now, the rehab process begins.

Brooklyn will be without both LeVert and Kyrie Irving in Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. Irving has been dealing with a right shoulder impingement for a week, missing Saturday’s win against the Chicago Bulls and Monday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers.
