Caris LeVert: Nets are ‘about falling in love with the process of being great’

The Brooklyn Nets released a hype video for their fans as the team looks ahead to Kevin Durant’s return to the court in 2020-21.

The Brooklyn Nets released the latest episode of “THE BRIDGE” on Twitter Tuesday as the franchise looks ahead to what should be a big 2020-21 season.

Caris Levert narrated the highlight reel, discussing how he and his teammates are approaching the excitement surrounding the Nets:

“This organization, we’re not really listening to outside noise. We’re just trying to get better. We work year-round for this. We dedicate most of our lives to it. Obviously, we have a lot of talent, but no one knows what the future holds.”

“As much as the fans wanna see us win, we wanna win that much more. As players, we can control the outcome of the game — we just wanna maximize our potential. We’re in it for the journey, we’re not in it for the destination. The journey is where you get your reward. We’re buying in for the long-term. We’re not buying in for this possession or this quarter or even this game. If you’re chasing success and you see an end goal — it’s just about falling in love with the process of being great. We’re looking at the big picture and the haul. We don’t take it for granted because we know what we came from. This group is very resilient, we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.”

While LeVert’s message conveys where Brooklyn’s players are mentally, what happened in the final seconds of the video is what will probably stick with fans most:
