Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins gives Texans QB Deshaun Watson ‘glory’ for winning passing title

Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins congratulated Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson on his winning of the 2020 NFL passing title.

DeAndre Hopkins isn’t a hater; he recognizes real.

The Arizona Cardinals receiver may have been passive-aggressive throughout 2020 after being traded from the Houston Texans for running back David Johnson and a couple draft picks, but he didn’t hold back congratulating his former quarterback on a league-wide accomplishment.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Hopkins wrote, “Glory!!!!” and tagged Deshaun Watson’s Twitter account and included a crown. Hopkins was quote-tweeting a graphic from the NFL’s official Twitter account that showed the top-5 leaders in passing yards for the 2020 season. Watson took home the title by throwing 4,823 yards throughout all 16 regular season games.

Hopkins’ new quarterback, second-year Kyler Murray, tallied 3,971 passing yards through 16 games. The Cardinals finished 8-8 and failed to make the playoffs.
