Cardinals worked out punters, kickers, long snapper

The Cardinals had three punters, two kickers and a long snapper in for a workout on Friday.

The Arizona Cardinals appear to be sending a message to players on the roster and preparing for emergency situations.

A day after working out a veteran long snapper, on Friday, they had a bunch of specialists in for tryouts, according to Friday’s NFL transaction report.

On Thursday, they had veteran long snapper Jake McQuaide in for a workout. On Friday, they brought in long snapper Tucker Addington, who played three games for New England last season.

They had two kickers in — Tanner Brown and Randy Bullock.

Brown is an undrafted rookie and Bullock is a 10-year NFL veteran.

They had three punters in on Friday — Drue Chrisman, Blake Gillikin and Pat O’Donnell.

Chrisman punted seven games last season for Cincinnati.

Gillikin punted the last two seasons for New Orleans.

O’Donnell has laid 10 years in the NFL.
