Cardinals will move up in NFC West with a win over Cowboys

They will tie the Rams’ 4-2 record and be ahead of them because of their division record.

The Arizona Cardinals have a chance to move up in the standings in the NFC West. They are currently 3-2 on the year and entered the week in third place in the division between the 5-0 Seattle Seahawks and 4-1 Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams lost on Sunday night to the San Francisco 49ers 24-16, dropping them to 4-2 on the season and 0-1 in divisional play.

The Cardinals will play the Dallas Cowboys Monday night on the road. With a win, they would improve to 4-2 on the season, tying them with the Rams.

However, by virtue of the Cardinals’ 1-0 record in the division, they would hold the current tiebreaker and would be ahead of L.A., 1.5 games behind the ideal Seahawks. The Cardinals host the Seahawks in Week 7.

A loss would drop the Cardinals to 3-3 and would have them tied with the 49ers for the worst record in the division, although because of their win over the Niners in Week 1, they would remain in third place.
