Cardinals underdogs in Week 2 road matchup vs. Raiders

For the second week in a row in the 2022 season, the Cardinals are the underdogs. They face the Raiders on the road in Week 2.

The Arizona Cardinals began the season 0-1 in an embarrassing 44-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. They fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter and never really recovered.

They now head on the road to face another AFC West team. They take on the Las Vegas Raiders, who lost 24-19 in Week 1 to the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.

For the second week in a row, the Cardinals open as underdogs.

Cardinals at Raiders Week 2 odds and lines

Money line:

  • Cardinals +190 (Bet $100 to win $190)
  • Raiders -230 (Bet $230 to win $100)

Betting on the money line — the outright winner of the game, a $190 wager on the Cardinals would gain $190 if they win the game. It would take a $230 wager on the Raiders to win $100 if they win the game.

The Cardinals and Raiders are both 0-1 this season.

Spread:

  • Cardinals +5.5 (-110)
  • Raiders -5.5 (-110)

The Cardinals began last week as 4.5-point underdogs and open as greater underdogs this week. A $110 ATS bet on the Cardinals wins $100 if they win, tie or lose by no more than 5 points.

A $110 bet on the Raiders to beat the spread pays out $100 if they win by 6 or more.

Both teams are 0-1 ATS this season.

Total:

  • Over 52.5 (-108)
  • Under 52.5 (-112)

A $108 bet on the Over wins $100 if the two teams combine for 53 or more points. A $112 bet in the Under wins $100 if they combine for 52 or fewer points.

Last week, the Cardinals’ game blew past the projected total, hitting the Over, while the Raiders’ first game stayed Under the projected total.

Cardinals vs. Raiders history

The Cardinals and Raiders have only played 10 times dating back to 1973. The Raiders have a slight 6-4 lead in the all-time series.

They last met in 2018 and the Raiders won that game 23-21 on a last-second 35-yard field goal by Daniel Carlson.

This will be the first time the two teams have played each other in the regular season in Las Vegas.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is 1-1 in two career starts against the Cardinals, while Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is making his first regular-season appearance against the Raiders.
