Cardinals to have joint training camp practices with Titans

The Cardinals will travel to Nashville for their first joint training camp practices since 2016.

The Arizona Cardinals will hold joint practices in training camp with another team for the first time since 2016. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Monday at the annual league meeting that they would host joint practices with the Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Nashville.

Last year in training camp, the Cardinals did not have any joint practices for two reasons. One is that, because they would have to be held outside, teams do not want to practice in the Phoenix heat and because the Cardinals had only one road preseason game.

The preseason schedule for the Cardinals has not yet been released, but this presumably means they will face the Titans in one of their two road preseason contests.

Vrabel said it would be the third week, so that could be either the third week of camp or the third week of the preseason.

The Cardinals held joint practices with the Titans in 2010. When they held joint practices in 2016, it was also on the road in San Diego with the Chargers.

The Cardinals and Titans played one another in Week 1 in 2021, with Arizona picking up a 38-13 victory to kick off the season,

This will give players the opportunity to go up against someone other than their own teammates for a couple of days, which will break up the monotony of camp.
