Cardinals set to have video conference with Oklahoma LB Kenneth Murray

Murray is projected to be a first-round pick but not necessarily a top-10 pick.

The Arizona Cardinals continue to prep for the NFL draft, which will begin in less than two weeks. They continue to meet with prospects, even those not expected to be their pick at No. 8 overall.

The latest prospect visit we know of is with Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray.

According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, Murray has video conferences coming up with the Cardinals and several other teams.

Murray is one of the top linebacker prospects in the draft but isn’t widely considered a top-10 pick. The Cardinals currently possess the eighth pick in the draft and do not have a pick in the second round.

Murray might be a target if they trade down in the first round.

The Cardinals do not have a current need at inside linebacker, but Jordan Hicks, despite playing every single defensive snap last season, has a history of injuries and De’Vondre Campbell is signed for only one season.

he is 6-2, 241 pounds and can move.

In 2019 for the Sooners, he had 102 tackles, 17 for loss and four sacks. In 2018, he had 155 tackles, 12.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks.

He has size, athleticism and production at a big-time program.

He would certainly fit what the Cardinals want in a linebacker.
