Cardinals’ Rondale Moore, Marco Wilson part of NFLPA Premiere; Zaven Collins left out

The Arizona Cardinals’ top draft pick was not included in the 2021 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

The NFLPA takes the most marketable rookies each year and features them in their NFLPA Rookie Premiere. This year is no different.

This year’s class features 60 players. Two Arizona Cardinals rookies are included — receiver Rondale Moore and cornerback Marco Wilson.

Moore was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round. Wilson was drafted in the fourth round.

Offensive players, especially receivers, are often marketable players, so Moore makes sense.

Cornerbacks also get national attention, so Wilson also makes sense.

However, the Cardinals’ first-round selection, linebacker Zaven Collins, was not included in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Why?

Collins went to a small school and he plays a position that doesn’t get a ton of recognition. Of the 60 rookies in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, only two were linebackers like Collins.

If Collins becomes a stud, he will have marketing opportunities. As for now, he will likely have to wait for some national recognition.
