The Arizona Cardinals added a familiar face to their group of cornerbacks. They announced the re-signing of Antonio Hamilton.
Hamilton was signed to the practice squad last year before the season after he was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was signed to the active roster later and played in every game, starting twice.
He had 38 tackles and four pass breakups, playing 312 defensive snaps, 29% of the Cardinals’ defensive snaps. He also added 208 special teams snaps and was tied for second on the team with nine special teams tackles.
He has been in the league since 2016, playing two seasons for the Raiders, two for the Giants and one for the Chiefs.
The way the roster is set up, he is in line for a role as the team’s fourth or fifth cornerback, specializing in special teams play but giving the team inside/outside versatility if needed for depth.
