Cardinals release S K’Von Wallace following Week 7 benching

Wallace, before gett8ing benched in Week 7, played every defensive snap from Weeks 2-6.

Safety K’Von Wallace is no longer part of the Arizona Cardinals. Two days after getting benched in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced his release.

Wallace, prior to Sunday, had started five of six games and, from Weeks 2-6, played every since defensive snap.

He did not log a single snap on defense on Sunday against the Seahawks, getting only playing time on special teams.

In seven games, Wallace had 43 tackles, four pass breakups and an interception.

He was acquired by the Cardinals on a waiver claim before the season after he was released by the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was coached by Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon when he was Philly’s defensive coordinator.

The Cardinals also released cornerback Quavian White from the practice squad.

With Wallace’s release, the Cardinals remain with Budda Baker, Jalen Thompson, Andre Chachere, Joey Blount and Qwuantrezz Knight as the five safeties on the roster.
