Cardinals release CB Jalen Davis

The Cardinals now have seven cornerbacks remaining on the roster.

The Arizona Cardinals continue to thin down their roster and the cornerback position. After cutting veteran B.W. Webb last week and then four undrafted rookies, including cornerback Zane Lewis on Sunday, the Cardinals announced an addition release Monday morning.

They released cornerback Jalen Davis.

He played two games last season after spending most of the year on the practice squad.

Davis also played three games in 2018 with the Miami Dolphins after entering the league as an undrafted rookie out of Utah State.

The cornerback position is becoming a little clearer. The three who are locks for the roster are Patrick Peterson, Dre Kirkpatrick and Byron Murphy. With Davis now out, that leaves Ken Crawley, Kevin Peterson, Chris Jones and undrafted rookie Jace Whittaker battling for the final spot or spots on the roster.
