The Arizona Cardinals were back at it on Monday coming back from the bye week. Head coach Jonathan Gannon gave them the whole week off after Monday meetings, rather than holding practices they could have.
Gannon noticed energy in the building with everyone’s return.
They had a workout and a “bonus” practice to start the week. Gannon said it would be a competitive practice of “good on good” rather than prepping for the opponent like they would Wednesday through Friday.
“I know they had a little pep in their step,” Gannon said.
With the week off, Gannon expects player who have been injured to be coming back.
“We’ve got some guys healthy, and hopefully turning the corner with a couple guys and get out there and practice,” he said Monday.
The players will be off Tuesday and then Wednesday they will begin a normal practice schedule as they prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers at home.
