Cardinals’ preseason slate has no games against Chargers, Broncos

Arizona almost always faces one of those two teams in the preseason. They will not this year.

When it comes to the Arizona Cardinals’ preseason schedule, we can count on a few things. They almost always have one or two games against the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos and they almost always close the preseason playing the Broncos.

This year’s preseason schedule is different.

There are only three preseason games this year as part of the new 17-game regular season, but the Cardinals will not play any of their closest AFC West counterparts. They will face the Kansas City Chiefs, though.

And with only eight games in the regular season, they will have two home games in the preseason and one road game, giving them 10 home games in all this year.

The Cardinals’ preseason schedule looks like this:

  • Dallas Cowboys at Arizona Cardinals, date and time TBD between August 12-16
  • Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals, Fri. Aug 20 at 5 p.m. Arizona time, aired nationally on ESPN
  • Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints, date and time TBD between August 26-30
