The Arizona Cardinals have three restricted free agents this offseason. They have elected to use one of the available tenders on one of them. According to kicker Zane Gonzalez’ agent Mike McCartney, the team has placed a second-round tender on his client.

Gonzalez was fantastic in 2019, making 31-of-35 field goals and 34-of-35 PATs.
Under the second-round tender, he may negotiate with other teams and sign an offer sheet. However, the Cardinals have the ability to match the offer and, if they choose to let him sign with the other team, would receive a second-round pick as compensation.
The projected salary for a second-round tender is $3.25 million.
Gonzalez was signed in 2018 by the Cardinals. He was originally a seventh-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2017 after having an outstanding career at Arizona State.
