The Arizona Cardinals had a few players get hurt in their 30-17 win over the New England Patriots. Head coach Jonathan Gannon gave some updates on Monday when he addressed the media.
LB Mack Wilson
Wilson suffered a concussion in the game. It was a scary moment. While Gannon didn’t give any timetable about his return, which make sense because concussion recovery varies from player to player, he did note that Wilson is “doing okay.”
“He was in good spirits today,” Gannon said.
Krys Barnes replaced Wilson in the lineup and would continue to play that role if he can’t come back in time to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
RB Trey Benson
Benson suffered an ankle injury in the win on Sunday after rushing for 22 yards on five carries.
Gannon didn’t have anything new about Benson, saying only that they were “still kind of sorting through it right now.”
CB Max Melton
Melton had a shin injury in the game but was able to return and play. He should be good to go this week.
LB Jesse Luketa
Luketa came out in the first half with a thigh injury. Gannon did not have an update about him on Monday.
