The Arizona Cardinals did not practice on Christmas Day but they released their first injury report of the week. It was an estimation of what it would have looked like had they actually practiced.
The estimated injury report has three players who would not have practiced and four who would have been limited, including quarterback Kyler Murray.
Did not practice:
- TE Charles Clay (calf)
- TE Darrell Daniels (biceps)
- OL Justin Pugh (back)
Clay played only four snaps in the team’s win over the Seattle Seahawks. His is the one injury to watch because he is a starter. Pugh has only had limited practice reps on Fridays the last two weeks.
Based on multiple reporters, on Tuesday when the team actually practiced, a few players were not in the practice field during the open part of practice. It appears that A.Q. Shipley, Larry Fitzgerald and J.R. Sweezy were given the day off.
Limited
- S Budda Baker (quad)
- LB Chandler Jones (thumb)
- QB Kyler Murray (hamstring)
- S Charles Washington (calf)
Baker’s and Jones’ injuries are new and are ones to watch.
The Cardinals will be back at practice on Thursday and again on Friday.
Murray said Tuesday he intends on playing and that his hamstring is good. However, he and the team will be smart with it. He won’t play if he can’t perform at a high level because of the injury.
