The Arizona Cardinals released their final injury report of Week 5 and they will be down one of their defensive studs of the season.
Cornerback Byron Murphy, who suffered a rib injury last Sunday, was ruled out of the game Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers after missing practice all three days.
Also ruled out was offensive lineman Justin Murray, whose back has been an issue. He was later placed on injured reserve, meaning he will be out for at least three games.
There will be a number of game-day decisions. Among them are running back Chase Edmonds (shoulder) and cornerback Marco Wilson (ribs). Edmonds sat out two days of practice and returned Friday for limited work. Wilson was downgraded each day. He was a full participant Wednesday, limited Thursday and sat out Friday.
Tight end Maxx Williams (shoulder), cornerback Antonio Hamilton (ankle), running back Eno Benjamin (hamstring) and tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs) will be questionable for the game after getting limited work in practice all week.
How the Cardinals will manage the cornerback position is something that remains to be seen.
Hamilton has played in the slot this year and safety Jalen Thompson also can play in the slot as well. The Cardinals also have Greg Mabin and Luq Barcoo on the practice squad. Rookie Tay Gowan has yet to be active for a game this season.
