Cardinals hope to end bad losing streak against Rams in season finale

The Cardinals have been outscored 164-32 in their last five games against the Rams.

The Arizona Cardinals enter Week 17 with a two-game winning streak. However, they face a team they have struggled mightily against for some time. They travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams and have lost five straight to them and seven of the last nine matchups.

The Cardinals have not beaten the Rams since Sean McVay became head coach and the games have not been competitive. In those five games, the Cardinals have been outscored 164-32. The Rams have averaged more points per game than the Cardinals have actually scored.

The Cardinals were embarrassed by the Rams in their outing just a few weeks ago, a 34-7 beatdown after the bye week. It was their worst performance of the season.

However, the Cardinals have proven they can bounce back. They lost 27-10 earlier in the season to the Seattle Seahawks at home and then, last week, beat the Seahawks 27-13 on the road. It was their best performance of the season.

The Cardinals remain focused on being competitive. The Rams have disappointed. Now 8-7, they have been eliminated from playoff contention.

The Cardinals can’t count on a division rival coming out and just going through the motions. However, the Cardinals appear to be in a good place right now.

They might not end the losing streak but they should certainly perform better than they have against the Rams.
