The Arizona Cardinals enter the 2024 offseason with a lot of money tied up in the offense. How much?
It might surprise you.
According to Warren Sharp, it is one of the most expensive offenses in the NFL in 2024.
They rank seventh, spending $146.5 million on offense this season.
Quarterback Kyler Murray is the biggest reason for that, as he will make $37 million in base salary in 2024 and count more than $51 million against the salary cap.
Based on how last season finished with Murray back at quarterback following his return from recovering from a torn ACL, it makes sense.
With Murray running the offense, they were a top-10 unit in most metrics.
It would be reasonable to have a top-10 unit in terms of money. But they could spend more because there are questions at receiver still.
Defensively, according to Over the Cap, they rank 21st.
