Cardinals expected to hire Brant Boyer to new staff

Boyer has been the special teams coordinator for the Jets since 2016.

The Arizona Cardinals have not decided on a new head coach but they might know some of the coaches who will be on their 2023 coaching staff.

According to Mike Jurecki, a longtime Phoenix reporter and radio personality, the Cardinals are expected to hire Brant Boyer as part of their coaching staff.

Boyer has coached special teams in the NFL since 2012, beginning with the Indianapolis Colts as an assistant special teams coach and then from 2016 until the present as the special teams coordinator of the New York Jets.

He presumably could be the special teams coordinator for the Cardinals for the next head coach, although the future of current special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers isn’t yet known.

The Cardinals are expected to announce a new head coach this next week after the Super Bowl.
