Cardinals D-line coach Brentson Buckner being pursued by college programs

He turned down Clemson and is now being pursued by Auburn.

The Arizona Cardinals might lose one of the coaches on their staff. Defensive line coach Brentson Buckner, in his second stint with the team, is drawing interest from college programs.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Buckner was targeted by Clemson last week for a position on Dabo Swinney’s coaching staff, a position he declined. However, he is also being targeted now by Auburn with new head coach Bryan Harsin.

The question is whether the positions he is being offered come with a better title than position coach or come with a better salary.

If he turned down Clemson, it would be hard to see him leaving the Cardinals for Auburn. But we will see in the weeks to come.
