The Arizona Cardinals could have a critical part of their offense back in the lineup this weekend when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 9. Center Rodney Hudson was designated for return, making it possible for him to practice.
He missed the last three games with a rib injury.
The move does not guarantee he will be back in the lineup, but it opens a 21-day window for him to practice and return.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has been optimistic dating back to last week that Hudson could return to the lineup.
If he returns to the starting lineup Sunday, he will face the team against whom he got hurt.
While he was out, Max Garcia started two games before he hurt his Achilles and missed the game against the Packers. Sean Harlow started at center then.
