Cardinals dealing with water damage in new training camp hotel

15 rooms of team staff were affected my water damage after a summer storm Monday night. No players were displaced.

The Arizona Cardinals have changed the hotel they have stayed at for training camp for the first time since they moved camp from Flagstaff to State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Within a few nights, they are having issues.

They are now staying at the Wigwam resort about eight miles from the stadium.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Josh Weinfuss, a summer storm on Monday caused water damage in about 15 rooms used by the team. Fortunately, it was all staff that was affected. No player was affected.

Much of the hotel parking lot was flooded on Tuesday when reporters arrived for media availability.

The Cardinals will hold their first practices of camp Wednesday, although fans will not be able to attend until Saturday, the first of 10 practices open to the public.
