Cardinals could take over NFC West lead in Week 9

A win over the Dolphins paired with Seattle losing to Buffalo would put the Cardinals atop the best division in the NFL.

The Arizona Cardinals seek their fourth straight victory Sunday afternoon at home against the Miami Dolphins. If things go their way, not only will they get the win and improve to 6-2 on the season, they could end the week as division leaders in the tough NFC West.

The Seattle Seahawks face the Buffalo Bills on the road and trail in that game 41-20 in the fourth quarter. If the Seahawks lose, they will be 6-2. If the Cardinals defeat the Dolphins, they will also be 6-2.

They would be tied in the standings in terms of overall record. However, due to the Cardinals’ head-to-head win over Seattle in Week 7, Arizona would hold the tiebreaker and technically be in first place.

The Cardinals are favored over the Dolphins by six points and Miami is on a three-game winning streak of their own, but if Arizona takes care of business, they could be the best team in the league’s best division by the end of the night.
