Cardinals could play a Saturday game in December

The Cardinals-Rams Week 17 matchup is one of five games from which the league will choose three to play on Saturday on national TV.

The Arizona Cardinals have two games on their schedule yet to be scheduled. One is Week 18, as every game’s specific kickoff time is to be determined.

The other is in Week 17 when they will face the Los Angeles Rams on the road.

It is one of five games that have not been scheduled yet. Those games are:

  • Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals
  • Cardinals at Rams
  • Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots
  • Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants
  • Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders

Of those five games, three will end up scheduled on Saturday as nationally televised contests.

Considering two of those games right now involve a 2-8 Giants team and 3-7 Patriots team and the league will likely want those games to have postseason implications, there is a good chance the Cardinals will end up in one of those games.

Broncos-Bengals, Cardinals-Rams and Falcons-Commanders seem like the logical picks.

We will know in a few weeks when the Cardinals and Rams will actually play.
