Cardinals climb in new power rankings following win over Steelers

The Cardinals moved up from No. 26 to No. 25 with their Week 13 win over the Steelers.

The Arizona Cardinals picked up an unexpected win in Pittsburgh on Sunday, defeating the Steelers 24-10 behind running back James Conner’s two touchdowns and tight end Trey McBride’s eight receptions.

With their third win of the year, they saw a bump in the latest NFL power rankings from Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey, as they continue to show the league that, while they are not a good team, they are not a terrible team.

They moved up from No. 26 to No. 25 entering Week 14 on their bye.

The Cardinals got their first win in Pittsburgh since Lyndon B. Johnson was in the White House, and they did so with a 99-yard drive.

The Cardinals are trending in the right direction. They are 2-2 since quarterback Kyler Murray returned from his knee injury. In their loss to the Houston Texans, they were in position to have a game-winning drive and, with some different coaching decisions on fourth down, they probably win that game.

They do have a brutal final four games with contests against the 49ers, Eagles and Seahawks, but with the bounceback performance against the Steelers, this is not the look of a team actively tanking for the draft.
