The Arizona Cardinals announced a pair of contract agreements to bring back players from 2019. One is offensive lineman Max Garcia. The team announced he agreed to a one-year contract for the 2020 season.
Garcia spent 2019 with Arizona after signing a one-year deal but spent the first nine games of the season on the physically unable to perform list, as he was coming off a torn ACL suffered in 2018.
He played the final seven games of the season as the team’s backup interior lineman and got reps on special teams.
He has played in 63 career games for the Cardinals and Denver Broncos, starting 41.
He gives the Cardinals an experienced guard off the bench and can also play center. As of now, he projects as the primary backup at center and guard behind starters Justin Pugh, Mason Cole and J.R. Sweezy.
