Cardinals agree to one-year deal for DL Trevon Coley

He started 29 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2017-2018.

The Arizona Cardinals added another defensive lineman in free agency on Wednesday. They announced they reached an agreement with defensive lineman Trevon Coley on a one-year contract.

Coley entered the league as an undrafted rookie in 2016 between the practice squads of the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns, then played two seasons for the Browns in 2017 and 2018. He played 31 games and started 29 in his first two seasons, picking up 80 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. 11 of his tackles were for loss.

He was cut in 2019, spent time on the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens and then was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. he played seven games for the Colts and picked up six tackles.

He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 310 pounds.

The addition gives the Cardinals eight defensive linemen on the roster, joining Corey Peters, Jordan Phillips, Jonathan Bullard, Zach Allen, Michael Dogbe, Miles Brown and Lyndon Johnson.
