Cap hits for every player the Rams have signed or extended this offseason

Here’s a list of the 2022 cap hits for every player the Rams have signed or extended this offseason

Although Allen Robinson is the only big name the Rams have added in free agency this offseason, they have stayed busy by bringing back many of their own players. The Rams managed to clear a lot of cap space, both by cutting and trading players, and extending Matthew Stafford.

Among the players Los Angeles re-signed were Joseph Noteboom, Brian Allen and Coleman Shelton. They also tendered Matt Gay, Travin Howard and John Wolford as restricted free agents. Brandon Powell is back on a one-year deal, too.

Below, we’ve listed the 2022 cap hits for every player the Rams have re-signed or extended this offseason. Wolford’s cap hit is expected to be around $895,000 based on the veteran minimum as an exclusive rights free agent, but that’s not yet official, nor is Powell’s cap hit.

All numbers are via Over the Cap.

  • Matthew Stafford: $9.5 million
  • Allen Robinson: $4.3 million
  • Joseph Noteboom: $3.5 million
  • Matt Gay: $2.5 million
  • Travin Howard: $2.5 million
  • Brian Allen: $1.8 million
  • Coleman Shelton: $1.5 million
  • John Wolford: N/A
  • Brandon Powell: N/A

As you can see, the Rams didn’t put any big cap numbers on the books this year, and that was by design. They actually lowered Stafford’s cap number by $13.5 million, and they were able to keep Robinson’s cap hit to just $4.3 million in his first year.

Gay and Howard were both restricted free agents and will actually have bigger cap hits than Allen, who signed a three-year, $18 million extension. All three players have manageable contracts, as do Shelton and Noteboom.
