Canisius comes into the NCAA Tournament with a 20-18-3 overall record, having captured the program’s second Atlantic Hockey Championship. The Griffs have been on a hot streak lately, going 15-6-1 since the start of 2023 after a slow start to the season that saw them go just 5-11-1.

Minnesota, on the other hand, comes into the tournament with a strong record of 29-6-1 and boasts several NHL prospects, including defenseman Brock Faber and forward Chaz Lucius. The Gophers have been dominant this season, with the third-best offense in the country, averaging 4.14 goals per game.
