Cameron Champ tests positive for COVID-19, withdraws from Travelers Championship

Cameron Champ tested positive for the COVID-19 on Tuesday. As a result, he was forced to withdraw from the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship. Champ said, “I feel great physically and I was obviously surprised and disappointed to learn of the test result.” He did not compete at the RBC Heritage last week but did play at the PGA Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge in Ft. Worth, Texas, earlier this month and finished T-14. Champ, 25, is the second golfer to test positive for the virus in two weeks. He must now begin a 10-14 day quarantine period in the Hartford area.
