The New England Patriots replaced one super-active quarterback on social media with another.
Tom Brady left Patriots fans pumped up and eager for games through his talent on the field, but also his top-notch social media accounts. Cam Newton has a similar presence on social media and has been very active since joining the Patriots. He’s dropped numerous videos in the past week, including hype ones and others including workouts with his teammates.
Newton posted an Instagram photo on Wednesday night of him doing pushups and he quoted the boxing legend, Muhammad Ali.
“I hated every minute of training, but I said, don’t quit! Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion!” Newton said.
Newton, 31, is coming off two injuries that affected his performance over the past two seasons. He appears to be healthy now and should be able to take command of the starting role over second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
The Patriots are in good hands with a hungry and extremely talented Newton.
